With Daejeon city and Daejeon Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency sponsoring, Daejeon Intermedia Comics Union (DICU, Rep. Kang Bo-suk) supervises ‘DICU Festival’ which is a cartoon festival engaging not only Daejeon but also many teenagers and cartoon lovers of the whole nation. DICU festival has been held twice, summer and winter, ever since its beginning in 2004, and despite small budget, it has been designated as one of Daejeon City Festivals thanks to successful hosting.
